Career Development
We have created an environment where employees can do important and purposeful work and where they are recognized and rewarded for individual and team excellence. Our employees know they are essential to our success and essential to the mission of our customers.
Acentia is committed to individual employee growth and professional development. We demonstrate this commitment through a variety of programs. One of the most notable is the Acentia University. This e-Learning initiative is an innovative developmental tool that employees can utilize at their pace and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This program provides employees access to a diverse library of content. Courses cover a wide variety of subjects—from highly technical topics to software application instruction to business skills development. These courses, and associated components, can be used as reference tools to help answer day-to-day, on-the-job questions, as well as part of your personal development.
Acentia also offers instructor-led training and tuition reimbursement for employees seeking to continue their skill development and formal education. We offer training for certifications in important technologies currently in use at most federal agencies such as Project Management, Information Technology Infrastructure Library and Certified Information Systems Security Professionals.
Our generous training programs are indicative of the investment we make in our employees and part of what allows us to attract and retain employees at a record level—one of the lowest attrition rates in the industry. Our customers know that Acentia invests in training programs to keep our employees current in their fields, which adds to us being a trusted partner for our customers.
We feel strongly about providing ongoing feedback on employee performance and devote a great deal of time to our annual review process. This process provides a vehicle for employees to receive formal objective feedback and to work directly with their managers to chart their career paths as they learn new skills and gain experience from challenging work assignments.
